Larson Updates

James is out growing his stroller. Luckily his desire to walk increases daily. His desire to run has been with him from birth.

We went to the Long Beach Aquarium for the first time last week. We had such a fun day. We began by eating at Famous Dave's. Yummmmm! Then, we went in to look at some fish. There were so many fish. I thought the displays were as good and better than Sea World's display of fish. Shea pet more than 5 species of Sharks, along with a variety of plants and overgrown sting rays. James wanted nothing to do with the petting aspect of the aquarium. He was more than happy to simply look at the fish.
Shea wanted me to take a picture of her where it looks like the crab legs are her arms.

This is a "special" shirt that is so very appropriate for my children. They both earned one.

SHEA IS SO BRAVE! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING!

Funny story. First, yes, that is James....in tap shoes.....putting on make up..........
James is interested in everything. He wants to investigate whatever he can get his paws on. He just happened upon things that will embarrass him for years to come.

E.T.

For some, this extra terrestrial alien is lovable, funny, and entertaining. For OTHERS, he is a terrifying little creature who should never have been found, or created.

While at my mother in law's house, we we found a book. It was an inside/in depth look into the making of E.T. At that moment we found out Jessie (my sister in law and Conor's wife) is terrified of E.T. Of course, Adam had to continue to show Jessie the pages of this book. When Adam was flipping through the pages of the E.T. book, I heard a sound that one can only hear from the ill. I looked over and Jessie seriously looked like she would pass out at any moment. I have honestly never seen or heard a more sincere shudder come from anyone!

Jessie has a gift of story telling. I think she has made me cry laughing almost as much as Adam. So, to my delight, Jessie elaborated on her fear of E.T. Folks, this is a real fear. I know it is genuine.

I made this post just for Jessie. I know she will appreciate it in her own way. :)
This is the face of a person who just heard ET was making an appearance.

How many words are pictures really worth?

THE REAL QUESTION IS: How many questions do pictures inspire???
I will ask and answer some questions you will likely have when viewing my pictures on this post:

Q: Why is James being fed like a zoo animal?
A: Because he behaves like a zoo animal

Q: Why does James have huge road rash on his face?
A: Because we were at a theme park (Knott's) and he ALWAYS gets hurt at theme parks. We are just happy it was not another broken leg.

Q: Who are these good lookin' people
A: Our dear friends Camilla and Tim Deans.

Q: Where is this at?
A: Shea received an award at school. James did not want to waste a moment's time congratulating her. He sat on Shea's lap for the remainder of the awards assembly.

Q: Goosebumps?
A: Shea loves to read and she loves scary stories. Goosebumps offers a nice combination of both.

Q: Why is James holding the bottle in an odd way?
A: When James is tired, he looks for the easies way to hold the bottle. On the back of his hands is a favorite method.

Q: Where is this?
A: At the Nixon Library. Such a fun experience. No matter how hard I tried, I could not convince James it was a helicopter, not an airplane...I learned to pick my battles this day.

So, This week was eventful. Valentine's Day was not exactly what the average American hopes for. We had 4 people sick with this nasty cold/flu going around. However, Adam and I are amazing at making lemonade with our lemons. (wink, wink)

New Family Portrait

This is our most recent family portrait! We love it!

Some fun photos

My friend Andrea Skidmore is an excellent photographer. She spoiled us by practicing her skills on James. (Shea was too busy enjoying the playground to pose). Thank you Andrea!

James' First Hair Cut!

James and I got our hair cut at the same time! The hair was everywhere and we could not get home fast enough to wash it off us! It was so itchy!!
This is the face of a handsome boy who knows he is in the main focus of my camera!

This face says "Yeah, I know I am cute" !

"Are you still taking pictures?"

A nice shot of the back.
